Ceili of the Valley
Ceili of the Valley Society is a nonprofit organization based in Salem dedicated to promoting and perpetuating Celtic heritage and culture throughout the Willamette Valley with events incorporating music and dance. Dancers will perform a couple of dances, then invite the audience to join in. All dances will be taught and no partner or experience is necessary.
Ceo
Ceo (pronounced "kYOH", meaning fog/mist in Irish Gaelic) describes the atmospheric conditions shared between Ireland and the Northern California coastline. Driving rhythms and intricate textural soundscapes are the hallmarks of Ceo's musical style. Blake Ritter (fiddle) & Alina Larson (uilleann pipes) are both dance musicians at heart, playing lively tunes in tight synchrony, while not shying away from spontaneous variations.
Cucanandy
Based in Corvallis, Cucanandy brings heart and passion to Celtic music, playing tunes and singing songs from Scotland, Ireland and beyond. Katie Maxey (fiddle) sings in Gaelic and English, with harmony vocals from Laureen Urey (bodhrán). Along with Van Fister (guitar) and Beth Brown (cello, Irish flute, penny whistle), they provide an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary Celtic music.
Hayden Stern Band
As a fiddler, composer, and community builder Hayden Stern (fiddle, guitar) has taken Seattle’s roots music scene by storm. Stern draws freely from multiple traditions, expanding his original base of Scottish fiddling to Irish, Scandinavian, French-Canadian, Appalachian, and beyond.
As The Hayden Stern Band, he is joined by powerhouse musicians Raphaella Hero (fiddle) and Ezra Jane Landsman (guitar). Together, they play a mix of traditional repertoire and original compositions to celebrate the release of Hayden’s debut album, The Morning Dark.
James Wilson
James Wilson is a multi-talented musician who sings and plays tin whistle, guitar, and mandolin. He is currently a member of two bands, Stout Rebellion and Whiskey & Stitches in Sacramento, California.
Joseph Linahon
Joseph Linahon performs Celtic folk music from 16th century Jacobite ballads to modern songs and stories. Foot stomping rebel songs, Scottish ballads of love and loss, and sea shanties which harken back to days of wooden ships and blank spots on the map.
Kitchen Ceili
Women’s group a cappella singing in Scots Gaelic with humor and historical context. They will be giving a singing workshop of wool waulking songs following their performance.
Laura Zaerr and Friends
Celtic harp with fiddle, cello, penny-whistle, vocals. We will feature Celtic tunes written by locals, fresh with the flavor of the Highlands, and the winds of Nova Scotia. Featuring Laura Zaerr (harp and vocals) with David Greenberg (fiddle), Maria Blair (cello) and Colleen Kitchen (whistle and vocals)
Mo Robinson
Born and raised in Ireland, Mo Robinson sings traditional and original songs, and tells stories of his life and travels in true troubadour style.
Sharon and Dave Thormahlen
These local favorite musicians will perform Celtic music and original compositions on harp, mandolin, bouzouki, tenor banjo and guitar.
Steeplechase
Uplifting to heartbreaking traditional songs and tunes from Ireland and Scotland by this stellar band from the Mt. Vernon and Bellingham, WA area. Steeplechase features Hanz Araki (flutes and vocals), Sam Vogt (guitar and whistles), Zach Bauman (Irish bouzouki), and David Lofgren (bodhrán).
Stout Pounders
Stout Pounders is a Seattle-based Irish Folk and Celtic Rock band that infuses fresh energy into traditional Scottish and Irish Folk music while incorporating original songs influenced by genres ranging from Ska to Metal. Known for their versatility, they excel at engaging audiences of all sizes.
The Glensiders
The Glensiders perform an array of Celtic tunes, from high energy, hard strumming Irish rebel songs to the heartfelt ballads of Scotland alongside crowd pleasing Sea Shanties.
The Nettles
An always popular Corvallis band, the Nettles play progressive Celtic music. Laura Brophy’s powerful fiddling forms strong yet lyrical melodies punctuated by exciting improvisation. The band’s sound is propelled by the mighty rhythm engine of Kevin Johnsrude on guitar, Michael Proctor on bass, and Joe Molloy on drums. From hard driving jam music to lyrical folk jazz, this versatile group extends the boundaries of traditional music.
Two Rivers Céilí Band
Two Rivers Céilí Band plays lively Irish traditional tunes for both céilí and set dances. Join them for a céilí on July 19, 2026 as they perform with fiddles, flutes, tin whistles, uilleann pipes, keyboard, and guitar.
Us and Them
Us & Them is a Celtic quartet composed of two couples who love to create musical tapestries together. On fiddles (David Greenberg and Maria Blair), guitar (Marjorie Sandor) and bodhrán (Tracy Daugherty), this Corvallis group interweaves melodies, harmonies, and rhythms of traditional and modern tunes. Their music, ranging from poignant to driving, is based in Scotland and Cape Breton but wanders to Ireland, Quebec and other cultures as well.
Willamette Valley Pipers
Led by Pipe Major Nathan Wahlgren, this pipe and drum group from Eugene will enchant festival-goers with traditional bagpipe music including marches, strathspeys, jigs, reels and hornpipes.
